Amplify Music: What this Crisis Has Taught Us

At the Amplify Music session "What This Crisis Has Taught Us," I shared insights from my article "The Great Streaming Space-Time Warp is Here," discussing the pandemic's push towards streaming and its effects on music consumption and artist engagement. The panel also included Rob Hain, Chairman of Sound Diplomacy, who brought a strategic view on music in city development; Merlijn Poolman, Night Mayor of Groningen, offering a European perspective on nightlife and culture; and Karen Reece, President of the Urban Community Arts Network, addressing the intersection of music, community, and education. Together, we examined the current state of the music industry and considered future directions in the face of COVID-19, amongst other ongoing challenges.
