Monocle Radio: The Urbanist - Music and the City

In a November 2015 episode of Monocle Radio's "The Urbanist," I had the opportunity to delve into the intersection of music and urban spaces. As Ottawa's Music Industry Development Officer, I discussed the transformative impact of integrating music into city planning and development. Highlighting examples from around the globe, the episode illustrated music's capacity to enhance urban vibrancy and economic resilience. It emphasized not only the economic benefits but also the enrichment of urban life through soundscapes and community engagement. This discussion showcased my dedication to harnessing music as a tool for urban innovation, ultimately underscoring the essential role of cultural initiatives in crafting lively, cohesive, and dynamic urban environments.
